Microarrays
The Bauer Core has a number of instruments for creating, processing
and analyzing microarrays. For more information about designing an
experiment using either home-made or commercially available arrays please
see Microarray
Techniques & Protocols.

Affymetrix GeneChip Instrumentation
The hybridization oven can accommodate 64 arrays and the two fluidics stations can each process up to four arrays at a time. The model 3000 7G scanner has a solid-state green laser which scans at 0.51 µm pixelation with reduced photobleaching. For more information, see http://www.affymetrix.com.

Agilent Scanner
This laser-based scanner can be used for Agilent microarrays and
homemade two-color (Cy3 and Cy5) microarrays. The carousel enables
automated scanning of up to 48 slides. For more information, see http://www.chem.agilent.com.

Axon GenePix 4000B Scanners
These confocal laser scanners are used to analyze standard two-color
(Cy3 and Cy5) microarrays. GenePix software allows for adjustable
scan area and resolution, as well as automated spot finding. The
Genepix 4000B scans at resolutions between 5 and 100 microns. For
more information, see http://www.moleculardevices.com.
