Building Access
Hours
The Northwest Building’s doors are programmed to automatically
lock at 7 pm each weeknight and unlock at 7 am each weekday morning. On
weekends, the laboratory doors remain locked from Friday evening
at 7 pm until Monday morning at 7 am. When doors are locked, trained
users may swipe their ID cards to gain access to the facility.
Card Reader
Once you swipe your card in the reader, a green LED on the
reader will indicate that the card was registered on the system. If the
door handle seems locked while opening the door, simply let go of the handle
completely, and then try again.
Changes in Harvard ID Number
If your Harvard ID number changes for any reason, you will
need to request re-activation of your new Harvard ID.
No Harvard ID?
If you do not have a Harvard ID, you may request a visitor ID card.
